Principal Microgrid Controls and Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Microgrid Controls and Automation Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing innovative solutions for our clients in the utility and mobile operator sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop microgrid control systems and automation technologies, including SCADA systems, energy management systems, and intelligent electronic devices.
- Develop and implement power electronics and their application in renewable energy systems and microgrids, including inverters, converters, and other power electronic devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microgrid control systems with other utility systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including training and mentoring junior engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in microgrid control systems and automation technologies.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, microgrid control systems, and automation technologies.
- Experience with design and development of microgrid control systems, including SCADA systems, energy management systems, and intelligent electronic devices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
