**Job Summary**

We are looking for an experienced Product/Interaction Designer to lead our efforts in innovating how taxpayers file with the IRS. The successful candidate will have a strong background in product design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

**Key Responsibilities**

This role involves performing desk research in discovery phases to understand user needs, business needs, policies, and processes. You will also execute high-quality design deliverables against known problems, leading the client through exercises and showcasing your work. Additionally, you will create accessible, mobile-first designs that solve problems and meet user needs.

**Requirements**

To apply, you will need at least 5 years of experience in end-to-end product design, including baseline user and concept testing. You must be able to take initiative and proactively survey project and stakeholder needs, and communicate, suggest, collaborate, and execute on methods that will both ensure the scoped work is completed and also hone in on improvements moving forward.

**Salary:** $142,000 - $157,000 (3-month contract to hire)
