Job Description:

  • Conduct desk research to understand user needs, business requirements, policies, and processes.
  • Develop high-quality design solutions addressing known challenges, working under the guidance of a senior team member.
  • Create accessible, mobile-first designs (from low- to high-fidelity) that solve problems and meet user needs, using the U.S. Web Design System.
  • Create design strategies to meet client needs, leveraging customer/user and business insights to create plans and roadmaps for creating desirable solutions.
  • Break down complex products into manageable design tasks, guiding and providing constructive feedback to colleagues.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams and between product teams.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end product design, including baseline user and concept testing.
  • A self-starter who can dive into complex systems and provide clarity to the design team.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional design, product, and engineering teams and communicating user needs and design decisions across them.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable, supported by a curious mindset driving user knowledge and product clarity.
  • Highly collaborative with a strategic mindset helping build meaningful collaboration across stakeholders and assess tradeoffs against short and long-term needs.

Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000 (3-month contract to hire)
