Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at PeopleShare Inc. in Rock Hill, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit payroll, as well as post related accounting entries to the general ledger.
  • Record routine or recurring transactions and reconcile accounts.
  • Prepare various financial reports and statements for customers.
  • Assist coworkers and cross-functional departments with transaction investigation and correcting entries.
  • Gather and analyze statistical and financial information.
  • Install, modify, and document accounting systems and control procedures.
  • Collect and prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Four to seven years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, payroll systems, and manufacturing software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental documents.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Accounting software, Payroll systems, Manufacturing software, and Database software.
