Position Overview

Job Summary: Oversee parking facilities and designated areas of the institution as determined by the administration during school days. The individual(s) will promote appropriate student behavior and work to deter loitering, theft, trespassing, and other issues on school grounds. Additionally, assist classroom educators with instructional tasks, engaging directly and indirectly with students.

Key Responsibilities (Parking Supervisor):
  • Ensure that student and staff vehicles are parked legally, adhere to traffic regulations, and dispose of waste properly.
  • Remain vigilant to student behaviors that may pose concerns for the safety and well-being of the school community.
  • Monitor student conduct on school premises.
  • Report any suspicious activities occurring on school property to the appropriate authorities.
  • Notify relevant school officials in the event of emergencies or inquiries.
Key Responsibilities (Instructional):
  • Assist with general classroom operations, including setting up and managing audiovisual equipment and preparing art supplies.
  • Work directly with students in individual or small group settings to enhance academic and social skills, such as reading, mathematics, color recognition, decision-making, and self-esteem development.
  • Support students and teachers during large group activities/projects, seeking specialized instructional materials for students with unique learning needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal or designated representative.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of the philosophy surrounding high school education and the high school student demographic; ability to communicate effectively with senior high students.
  • Basic knowledge of discipline and its positive impacts.
  • Familiarity with the policies and procedures of the institution.
Compensation: Refer to the Classification I (1) salary grid for details on compensation structure.

Work Schedule: 6.25 hours/day; 5 days/week (3.25 hrs/day as Parking Supervisor and 3 hrs/day as Instructional Assistant) Part-time, during the school year.
