Key Responsibilities- Engage Students in Learning: Utilize questioning and discussion strategies to promote social-emotional and behavior reasoning, critical thinking, reflection, and understanding among students.
- Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Collaborate with staff to set goals with students and monitor daily progress, planning and providing activities and assignments that cater to individual needs.
- Teach Conflict Resolution Strategies: Model and implement effective conflict resolution techniques with students, facilitating restorative conversations to promote positive relationships.
- Provide Support and Accommodations: Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to meet the diverse needs of students, adjusting services and support to ensure academic success.
- Respond to Student Needs: Respond promptly to student behavior needs, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for two years of higher education or passing of the ParaPro test.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer and word processing applications, with experience in educational software and technology.
