Job Summary

The Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill pediatric patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the pediatric acute and critically ill patient.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, ensuring timely and efficient communication with the healthcare team.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) certification/license in Texas (TX).
  • Prior experience working in Pediatric ICU, CVICU, or NICU settings (minimum 3 years).
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with an active Tuition-Free ADN to BSN program enrollment (with CNO approval).
  • The ability to work effectively in multiple areas, including but not limited to: NICU, PICU, CHSU, NCICU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients).
Additional Requirements

You must hold a TX RN License or Compact License, as well as current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS certifications, issued by the American Heart Association or America Red Cross.
