**Job Overview:** UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an experienced Pediatric Pulmonary Care Specialist to join our team in the Inpatient Pediatric Pulmonary Unit. As a member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and education to children with chronic and acute respiratory conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric pulmonary medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment. We offer a competitive salary range of **$120,000 - $150,000 per year**, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.

**Key Responsibilities:*
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Synthesize data and order laboratory and radiology studies as needed to inform diagnosis and treatment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in technical/procedural skills relevant to pediatric pulmonary care, including tracheostomy care and ventilator management.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding current care and preventive health measures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical and system practice performance and advance evidence-based best practices.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient pediatric pulmonary experience preferred.
  • Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CPNP-AC) by Texas State Board of Nursing or licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
