Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Logistics Customer Support Specialist to become a vital part of the ArcBest team. Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide precise information regarding the full range of logistics services offered by ArcBest.
  • Learn and comply with internal processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments.
  • Communicate shipment requirements to the local service center.
  • Offer quotes, handle pickup requests, and review billing discrepancies.
  • Resolve complex issues related to in-transit shipments.
  • Manage multiple tracking systems to ensure seamless service.
  • Engage with customers, carriers, and internal ArcBest contacts through various communication channels.
  • Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and provide necessary shipment documentation.
  • Update customers on shipment statuses, ensuring clear communication.
  • Maintain ongoing communication to ensure freight meets customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various complex software applications.
  • Identify and initiate recovery processes for at-risk shipments.
  • Coordinate projects, generate customer reports, and conduct audits as required.
  • Identify delivery delays and communicate necessary changes.
  • Inform customers about additional charges as needed.
  • Assist customers with large tracking and pickup requests.
  • Provide backup support for specialty accounts.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Work Environment: As a Logistics Customer Support Specialist, you will be part of the ArcBest Customer Solutions team. Your work hours will vary based on scheduling needs to ensure market coverage during standard business hours.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of six months of experience within the ArcBest Customer Service team.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Performance: Proven track record of exceeding productivity targets during evaluation periods.
