What We Seek in Our Technical Analyst

Russell Tobin's client, a leading financial software firm, is on the lookout for a Technical Analyst.

Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid

Compensation: $58 - $68/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver analytical support to system users and customer service teams.
  • Assess user requirements, utilize Agile methodologies to define analytics needs, and collaborate with engineering teams to devise solutions.
  • Create data products including reports, metrics, and predictive analytics to enhance web analytics and improve user experience.
  • Assist in content creation by integrating subject matter expert insights to develop engaging training materials and events.
  • Oversee on-demand training programs, live workshops, and conferences, with a solid understanding of learning management systems and eLearning platforms.
  • Develop strategies for program growth and optimization throughout the learning lifecycle.
  • Establish key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of training and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Support certification programs that align with business and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with product management to define platform technology requirements and influence user interface and experience design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in influencing and engaging stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to build strategic partnerships across different domains.
  • Strong skills in assessment, prioritization, and analytical thinking.
  • Solid project management experience with a comprehensive approach.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, or Adobe Analytics.
  • Technical degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation from data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with data processing tools and systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of AWS services like Redshift and Athena.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and schema design.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Python, R, or PyCharm.
  • Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • High professionalism, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Curious and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to quickly understand data architecture and complex business systems.
