Travel Requirements:

This role will necessitate travel to various job sites across the eastern United States, with travel commitments averaging around 50% of the work schedule, potentially reaching up to five days per week during peak periods.

Compensation:

The compensation package for this position is competitive and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, and relevant certifications. The starting salary range is between $120,000 and $145,000, along with a quarterly profit-sharing bonus following a probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:

The Survey Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing all survey department activities to fulfill site surveying requirements.
  • Conducting various types of surveys, including baseline, construction layout, as-built, aerial, and hydro surveying.
  • Overseeing CAD work and certification processes.
  • Collaborating with project teams and maintaining communication with senior leadership.
  • Mentoring and guiding site surveyors.
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications and maintaining accurate survey records.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A four-year degree in surveying, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in managing construction surveying projects.
  • North Carolina PLS certification or the ability to obtain it promptly.
  • Proficiency in business software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with Trimble GPS equipment and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and walk for extended periods. A valid driver's license is required.
