The Media Analyst will play a crucial role in assisting with media evaluation, communication strategies, global affairs, market research, and other related disciplines.

  • Master the application of research and analytical software tools.
  • Conduct thorough research, collect data, assess information, interpret findings, and compile reports utilizing diverse research methodologies.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, exceptional customer service, and respect for workplace diversity.
  • Provide timely analytical reports on specific events and media coverage.
  • Research, monitor, analyze, and advise leadership on emerging trends in social media tools and techniques.
  • Generate regular reports summarizing messaging across Joint Staff Social Media platforms to evaluate message impact.
  • Assist in developing and publishing social media content on designated official platforms.
  • Support content moderation and report comments on official platforms that breach engagement guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior officials and spokespersons as necessary.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a focus on relevant fields.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in media analysis, communication, global affairs, market research, or related areas.
  • Must hold a Secret DoD clearance.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to identify key trends, produce concise and clear reports, and present information effectively.
  • Capable of conducting media analysis on domestic and international media outlets regarding DoD and Joint Staff operations and policies.
  • Familiarity with DoD structure, functions, and significant policies.
  • Effective under deadline pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in utilizing software for research and analysis.
