Job Title: Substance Use Disorder Operations Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Use Disorder Operations Supervisor to join our team at Kitsap Mental Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Substance Use Disorder Professionals (SUDP/T) team, Peers, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT), Case Managers, and Care Team Assistants at Pacific Hope and Recovery Center (PHRC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision to SUDP/Ts on all phases of recovery and evidence-based SUD treatment practices.
  • Provide regular individual supervision, document, and keep records of significant interactions.
  • Promote positive staff morale by facilitating timely responses to problems, ensuring thorough and accurate internal communications, and providing opportunities for staff recognition.
  • Monitor and plan the use of unit resources to be within budgetary guidelines, especially those related to unit activities and extra staffing.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of clinical charts and all SUDP-specific documentation to assure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Assist in hiring, training, coaching, developing, evaluating, and correcting staff.
  • Participate in program development and curriculum development.
  • Directly supervise assigned reports to facilitate coverage or personally provide coverage as needed.
  • Facilitate shift reports during pass-downs to ensure clients' progress is communicated across shifts at PHRC.
  • Facilitate a common language within the unit regarding assessing acuity, risk, and methods of intervention.
  • Work closely with the Subacute Residential Manager, MHP, Shift Leads, and others to organize a cohesive crisis intervention, including assessing for a higher level of care.
  • Work with the SUD Team in the admission process, review ASAM evaluations, triage the waitlist, streamline processes, and ensure clients can access care in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degrees in psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.
  • Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
  • Current Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) licensure in WA State.
  • Ability to provide supervision to SUDP/T and meet the requirements of a SUDP Approved Supervisor as defined in WAC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience).
  • Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
