Role Support:

The Team Leader is crucial in overseeing the daily operations of all pooled investment vehicles within the Global Fund Administration department.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Providing comprehensive support in the absence of a Fund Administration Analyst.
  • Facilitating on-the-job training and coaching for new team members, fostering the development of Fund Administration Analysts.
  • Assisting the Accounting Manager in resolving complex challenges.
  • Managing special projects as they arise.
  • Conducting high-level reviews of Shareholder Reports.
  • Coordinating the audit process and addressing audit-related issues.
  • Reviewing fund and potential shareholder tax information.
  • Evaluating fund distribution calculations.
  • Ensuring effective workflow within the team.
  • Filling in for the Manager during their absence.
  • Recommending and participating in departmental enhancements.
  • Driving process improvements.
  • Documenting procedures.
  • Responding to client inquiries.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years in the mutual fund or finance sector, along with a 4-year degree in a relevant business field (preferably accounting or finance).
  • Skills: Proficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting is essential. Candidates should be familiar with tax regulations, SEC guidelines, financial reporting, and spreadsheet applications. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • Special Knowledge: Proficiency in standard desktop applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) is required. Familiarity with RIC reporting requirements, financial reporting experience, and knowledge of alternative products is advantageous. Experience in process management or improvement is preferred.

Compensation Overview:

The base salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $120,000, subject to variation based on education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. This salary is one component of the total compensation package, which may include commissions, year-end incentives, and various benefits for eligible employees.
