Hospitality Leader for Park Tavern on Washington Square

Overview:
Park Tavern on Washington Square, a renowned San Francisco establishment, is seeking an exceptional Hospitality Leader to spearhead our team's efforts. As the face of our hospitality, you will inspire staff, foster memorable guest experiences, and drive revenue growth.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with at least two years of experience in Food & Beverage management or as a Maître D'. A background in Guest Relations management or event execution is highly desirable. Your expertise should be complemented by excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to adapt to the needs of our organization and employees.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a fun time for locals and tourists alike.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, train, and coach team members, overseeing new hires and tracking team training.
- Drive the culture of hospitality, guiding and inspiring exceptional team performance, and mentoring supervisors and team members.
- Oversee private and semi-private events programming, ensuring proper billing and reporting.
- Maintain focus on the front door and guest relations, coordinating training as needed, and working with management to develop host staff.
- Ensure timely completion of opening and closing procedures, including side work.
- Cover basics: cleanliness, timeliness, and consistency; follow laws and mandates, demonstrating respectful leadership in our San Francisco community.
- Seek opportunities for enhancing guest experience and fostering memorable moments of hospitality.
- Find innovative ways to ensure profitability, considering quality and community as key levers.
- Participate in daily workflow, overseeing standards adherence, scheduling, coverage, and service quality, supporting budgets, profits, payroll, and tip sharing.
- Build team capability, knowledge, and resources to meet short and long-term objectives.
- Develop innovative solutions to enhance communication of guest and service information.
- Collaborate with ownership and management to develop annual and quarterly business goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by ownership.
Your Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two (2) years of Food & Beverage management and/or Maitre D' experience required.
- Event execution experience a plus.
- SF restaurant experience preferred, opening experience a plus.
- SF Department of Health certification obtained at hire or shortly thereafter required.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, push, pull, stand, walk, talk, or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects.
- Long hours sometimes required to include weekends and holidays.
- Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
We Offer:
