Job Summary

Thrive Behavioral Health is seeking a highly motivated Community Liaison to strengthen our organization's relationships with local community organizations and promote inclusion, integration, and participation of persons in the community in our designated service area.

This role will be responsible for scheduling and facilitating meetings with local community organizations, representing Thrive on local boards and committees, and building effective partnerships to facilitate engagement and outreach.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social/health sciences, social work, sociology, psychology, public administration, or related discipline, and a minimum of 2 years' experience conducting community outreach and coordination.

The Community Liaison will work closely with the Program Supervisor to ensure the success of this role and will be responsible for performing general administrative duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with local community organizations to discuss issues and concerns involving our community.
  • Represent Thrive on local boards and committees, such as the regional prevention coalitions and Health Equity Zones.
  • Build effective partnerships to facilitate engagement and outreach and promote grassroots marketing initiatives.
  • Interface with communities and openly represent the CCBHC among public officials, businesses, other agencies, news outlets, and the general public.
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social/health sciences, social work, sociology, psychology, public administration, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience conducting community outreach and coordination.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in the community sector with diverse organizations and with individuals living with a range of diverse needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult and liaise with health and community organizations to coordinate activities.
  • Demonstrated high level of verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Supervision:

The Community Liaison reports directly to the assigned Program Supervisor and will be supervised according to Thrive Behavioral Health Supervision Policy.
