About the Role

BigCommerce is seeking a seasoned Senior Director, Total Rewards & People Operations to lead the development and implementation of our global total rewards and people services strategies. As a key member of our People Experience team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative solutions that drive business growth and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns with BigCommerce's business goals and ensures competitive and fair compensation practices.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and meet the needs of our employees.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and management of third-party vendors for rewards and people services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Talent Management, Finance & Accounting, Legal, IT, and HRIS, to drive process excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in total rewards and people operations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and people services, with a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive compensation, long-term incentive/equity programs, and supporting a Board Compensation Committee.
  • Proven track record of developing and scaling HR infrastructure & operations, including HR systems, administration, and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team, motivate employees, and collaborate with different teams.
  • Strategic mindset, with the capability to align workforce strategies with broader business and Total Rewards & People Services visions.
What We Offer

BigCommerce offers a competitive salary range of $165,000-$278,000 USD, depending on location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
