Civil Rights Investigator

Job Summary:
The Virginia Jobs office is seeking a skilled EEO Investigator to conduct administrative investigations regarding alleged violations of state and federal civil rights laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations, interviewing parties and witnesses, collecting and reviewing relevant documents, mediating claims, and performing site visits.
- Prepare written reports summarizing and analyzing evidence collected during investigations.
- Prepare draft analyses of whether discrimination may have occurred and draft conciliation agreements.
- Maintain case information in databases and communicate effectively with parties, witnesses, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of state and federal civil rights laws, including the Virginia Human Rights Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in time management and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to manage a diverse and challenging caseload and work independently and as a team member.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of four years of investigatory experience.
- Experience in law enforcement investigations is a plus.
