Job Summary

The EEO Investigator, Office of Civil Rights will conduct administrative investigations regarding alleged violations of state and federal civil rights laws. This role requires exceptional analytical and written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in time management and meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage a diverse and challenging caseload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations into alleged violations of state and federal civil rights laws
  • Interview parties and witnesses, collect and review relevant documents, and mediate claims
  • Prepare written reports summarizing and analyzing evidence collected in the investigation
  • Prepare written conciliation agreements and maintain case information in databases
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of state and federal civil rights laws, including the Virginia Human Rights Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
  • Exceptional analytical and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in time management and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to manage a diverse and challenging caseload
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of four (4) years of investigatory experience
  • Experience in law enforcement investigations
