Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Advancement to join our team at the College of Business. As a key member of our advancement team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects to support the college's strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gift strategy to secure significant funding for the College of Business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and university leaders.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and prioritize fundraising opportunities.
  • Prepare and present compelling cases for support to donors and prospects.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, ensuring timely and effective stewardship.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in major gift fundraising.
  • Proven track record of securing significant gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, practices, and trends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification in fundraising.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and fundraising software.
