This role demands a data-centric approach to product innovation, with a strong emphasis on consumer insights. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Online VOC and CSMI teams to evaluate monthly and quarterly consumer data. They will utilize advanced analytics to create predictive models that guide product strategy, leveraging expertise in TV sales, consumer behavior, and technological advancements.

The individual will articulate unique product concepts and functionalities based on solid consumer insights, building a persuasive case for new products through analytical evidence. This position requires outstanding leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, R&D, and UX, to refine product specifications and ensure technical viability. The innovative concepts developed by Product Strategy will be presented to senior executives both domestically and internationally.

The successful candidate will be a highly analytical, consumer-focused innovator with a proven track record of making data-informed decisions. They must excel in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to influence and collaborate with diverse teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Market and Consumer Insights

  • Identify potential consumer insights through comprehensive research on TV market trends, competitor analysis, and consumer lifestyle needs.
  • Envision new TV usage scenarios and concepts that align with current consumer trends and technological innovations.
  • Employ data analysis techniques to examine consumer behavior patterns and substantiate product planning.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports on US consumer insights and trends.

New Product Development and Business Partnership Initiatives

  • Define distinctive TV product concepts and features based on identified consumer insights.
  • Refine product specifications through technical feasibility assessments and collaboration with design teams.
  • Establish data-driven rationale for product necessity and competitive differentiation.
  • Develop new product concepts and business partnerships for demand generation and report findings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing Team to establish go-to-market strategies.

Product Line Strategy Development and Management

  • Formulate and oversee mid-term strategies for the TV product portfolio.
  • Manage development timelines and resource allocation for each product.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Lead projects through effective collaboration with related departments such as Design, UX, R&D, Service Partnerships, and Marketing.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration with experts across various fields including technology, design, and marketing.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in TV Product Strategy, Consumer Electronics Product Planning, or related fields (e.g., consumer market analysis, new product development).
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., electrical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration).
  • An MBA is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of TV/Display technology trends (OLED, QLED, Mini LED, etc.), software/AI technology trends, and the OTT industry.
  • Proficient in market research and data analysis methodologies (statistics, data mining, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of consumer psychology and behavioral economics.
  • Exceptional data analysis and problem-solving skills, creative idea generation, effective communication, presentation skills, project management, and leadership abilities.
  • Consumer-Centric Thinking: Accurately identify consumer needs and plan differentiated products accordingly.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on data analysis to enhance product planning efficiency.
