Strategic Business Engagement Leader

We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the inaugural Associate Vice President for Business Engagement at Georgia Southern University. This is a unique opportunity to shape the university's business engagement strategy and create a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive business engagement strategy that aligns with the university's mission and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, academic leaders, and senior staff to create a collaborative team environment.
- Launch the inaugural Office of Business Engagement as the front door for companies to access Georgia Southern assets.
- Develop and execute a campus-wide strategy to increase corporate research collaboration, philanthropy, student experiential learning opportunities, and engagement.
- Lead a team to establish and achieve individual- and unit-level performance goals.
- Advance brand strategy and marketing plan to drive internal and external interaction with the Office of Business Engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, marketing, or relevant field; master's degree or higher strongly preferred.
- Experience in entrepreneurship, corporate partnership programs, intellectual property policies, and/or programs that cultivate economic development and corporate engagement in university environments.
- Strong strategic planning abilities, executive problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and manage complex functions.
- Knowledge of and experience needed to drive strategy and shift priorities of the Office of Business Engagement based on data and institutional mission and goals.
