Job Title: Director of Global Engagement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Global Engagement at Georgia Southern University. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development, administration, and evaluation of comprehensive international programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall leadership and vision for the Office of Global Engagement, ensuring alignment with the university's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Direct and manage OGE operations, programs, and personnel, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Engage with academic colleges, enrollment management, and student affairs to develop and implement international study and student success initiatives.
  • Support international study abroad and study away programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and university policies.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Research Integrity to maintain export control compliance and screening of potential collaborative partners and vendors.
  • Supervise the development and operation of short-term and full semester academic study abroad and exchange programming.
  • Manage strategic international partnerships and MOUs to raise the profile of the institution abroad.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Three or more years of related work experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Experience with large-scale international programming and working in academic support, student instruction, or student success in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications and licenses relevant to the field.
  • Experience with restructuring and managing organizational change.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $75,000 - $80,000.
  • A monthly exempt position.
