We are currently in search of a Production Assistant to become part of our team.
The Production Assistant will navigate through the studio to support various projects where additional assistance is required. This role demands a proactive individual who can adjust to shifting priorities and enjoys handling multiple tasks. Over time, this position will involve learning the techniques and processes utilized in all departments, ultimately evolving into a versatile team member who aids the studio in achieving production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Eagerness to acquire new skills and adapt to changing projects
- Ability to follow instructions from various sources, prioritize tasks, and seek out assignments
- Capable of performing a diverse range of tasks across all departments, including Clay goods such as Tilemaking, Set-Up, and Casting; Finished Goods like Display + Mosaics and Quality Assurance + Packing; and Glaze goods involving Glazemaking, Spraying/Loading, and Hand-painting.
- Participate in team and company-wide meetings
- Maintain a tidy workspace and engage in cleanup and maintenance activities
- Familiarity with ceramics and/or manufacturing processes
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a variety of personalities
- Capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift frequently
- Strong communication abilities
- Capability to perceive color
- Attention to detail with reading, writing, and basic math skills
In this role, the employee will frequently be required to remain stationary and move about the workspace. The employee will often operate various manufacturing equipment and will regularly need to observe, identify, detect, and communicate by exchanging information and expressing themselves. Occasionally, the employee may exert up to 100 pounds of force and, with assistance, move, transport, and/or position up to 100 pounds. The employee may also be required to wear protective equipment.
