As a seasoned sales professional, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote our products and services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maximizing revenue growth from key customers and prospects in a defined geographic territory.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients and their subsidiary companies, serving as a single point of contact for their needs.
  • Prospecting and qualifying new accounts from existing customers, dormant accounts, and non-customer accounts, including competitor accounts.
  • Collaborating with specialty division representatives to promote cross-selling opportunities to accounts wherever possible.
  • Preparing sales action plans and strategies to drive business growth.
  • Developing and delivering presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Utilizing Sales Force.com and other CRM tools to develop a pipeline of opportunities and track sales performance.
  • Monitoring competitors, market conditions, and product development to stay ahead of the competition.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of sales experience, preferably in the construction or equipment rental industry.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and meeting targets.
  • Knowledge of construction or related equipment is a plus, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

This is a salaried position with a base salary, plus monthly commissions based on performance. A minimum monthly guarantee incentive is provided during the onboarding and learning process. This role is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
