We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delicatessen Manager to join our team at Kennie's Market's Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the deli department, ensuring that all customers receive top-quality products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control supply and payroll expenses, inventory, and waste.
  • Follow through on correct accounting procedures, including invoices, transfers, and inventories.
  • Responsible for ordering sufficient quantities of raw materials and correctly pricing products.
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of products with proper rotation.
  • Direct the stocking, display, and rotation of deli products in the selling area.
  • Work with the Store Manager and Deli Specialist on merchandising, planning, and scheduling.
  • Maintain a sanitary department in the sales floor, cases/coolers, and back room area.
  • Responsible for proper and preventative maintenance of all company equipment in the department.
  • Cooperate with other departments during inter-department or store-wide sales promotions.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two to four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively to customers and employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, solve practical problems, and deal with concrete variables.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise 10-12 employees in the Deli Department.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
