Position Overview

Your Role

Join us in deploying and scaling the next generation of cloud security through big data and analytics. We are in search of a Senior Engineer to contribute to the development of our latest cloud security solution - Data Loss Prevention (DLP). Our DLP service stands as the industry's first cloud-delivered Enterprise DLP, consistently safeguarding sensitive data across all networks, clouds, and users. This rapidly expanding cloud service is designed to prevent data breaches by reliably identifying sensitive information throughout the enterprise. Additionally, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to create microservices capable of efficiently processing terabytes of data across various cloud platforms.

Your Contributions

  • Implement the software development strategy to enhance our dynamic, highly distributed system.
  • Grasp and apply software development/engineering lifecycle principles to drive features from conception to deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, architects, and DevOps to ensure quality releases.
  • Work in tandem with customer support, documentation, and downstream teams to facilitate customer success.
  • Make informed trade-offs to optimize time-to-release while upholding performance and scalability standards.
  • Effectively communicate goals and desired outcomes to internal project teams.
  • Interview, mentor, and guide new team members.
Qualifications

Your Background

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering with 15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military experience.
  • Self-motivated, capable of independent learning and quick adaptation.
  • Advanced experience as a hands-on Core Java Software Engineer in a distributed/cloud-based environment.
  • Proficient in Spring framework, Rest API, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and methodologies.
  • Commitment to automation testing and striving for high code coverage.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on quality and execution.

The compensation for this position will be based on qualifications, experience, and work location. The starting base salary is expected to be between $204,000/yr to $330,000/yr, which may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
