Lead Valve Designer for Cryogenic Fluids

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Valve Design Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Fluid Systems group, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing valves and other fluid system components for our lunar lander program.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop valves and other fluid system components for our lunar lander program
- Perform detailed design, analysis, and testing of valves and other fluid system components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure valve designs meet performance and safety requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications for valve designs
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in valve and/or mechanical/fluids component design
- Knowledge of propulsion and fluid system components (i.e. valves, regulators, and pumps for cryogenics, propellants, and other fluids)
- Experience designing parts in CREO
- Background in GD&T to create manufacturable, high-performing component drawings
- Experience using design analysis tools such as ANSYS and Thermal Desktop to evaluate the performance of designs
- Ability to define and support testing of designs, conduct data analysis, and iterate designs
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion
- Advanced Engineering degree
- Experience designing valves/mechanisms for fluids systems
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance
