Role Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our billing processes. This position is responsible for managing various administrative tasks that support the financial operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Download and upload deposit and correspondence batches using banking software (CashPro) into our database (LaserFiche).
- Receive, stamp, scan, and distribute all incoming departmental mail promptly.
- Scan completed electronic funds transfer (EFT) and credit card batches into LaserFiche.
- Manage incoming faxes, ensuring timely distribution to the appropriate staff.
- Print and mail paper claims efficiently.
- Handle requests for medical records with care.
- Print and send appeal forms along with necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations concerning billing, collections, and protected health information (PHI).
- Participate in ongoing educational activities and attend weekly staff meetings.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar or related field is preferred.
- Experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong math and data entry skills are essential.
- Familiarity with business office procedures is necessary.
- Good judgment and discretion are expected.
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements for patient information is crucial.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard office equipment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are important.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation:
The potential hiring range for this position is between $35,360 and $37,440 annually, or $17 to $18 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
