JOB OVERVIEW:

Synagro is engaged in the operation of a facility that specializes in anaerobic digestion, centrifuge dewatering, thermal drum drying, and pelletization processes. The ongoing expansion project aims to enhance the facility's capabilities significantly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain daily communication with the Facility Manager, Owner's Construction Manager, Project Engineer, and Construction Contractor.
  • Prepare and submit daily activity reports to the Project Manager regarding site operations.
  • Oversee and assess the quality of all construction activities undertaken.
  • Review and monitor the project timeline to ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Evaluate monthly cost claims and changes, including verification of remeasurement claims.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation in accordance with company protocols.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Authorized to work in the United States and specifically in Hawaii.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and passport for potential international travel.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of ten years of experience in construction management within relevant sectors.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Exhibit advanced skills in using ORACLE Primavera P6 for project scheduling and analysis.
  • Ability to navigate construction sites safely and effectively, including the use of ladders and access stairs.
  • Experience in conducting inspections for mechanical, electrical, and SCADA systems.
  • Show a commitment to punctuality and a willingness to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Engineer registration with the appropriate state board.
  • Project Management Professional certification from a recognized institution.
  • Experience in managing construction contractors and engineering consultants.
  • Familiarity with managing specialized construction and operational contracts.
  • Experience in wastewater or resource recovery facility operations.
