Head of Alternative Assets

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Alternative Assets team as the Head of Alternative Assets. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for driving the growth and success of our alternative assets business.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the sourcing, due diligence, and execution of new investment opportunities in alternative assets.
Relationship BuildingEstablish and maintain strong relationships with asset managers, fund managers, and other industry stakeholders to identify and capitalize on new investment opportunities.
Due Diligence and ExecutionLead the due diligence process for new investment opportunities, including collaborating with internal teams and external experts to assess risk and potential returns.
Performance MonitoringOversee the performance of existing alternative assets investments, including monitoring risk, returns, and other key performance indicators.
Team LeadershipCoach and mentor junior professionals on the team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth.
Requirements
- Experience
8+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance, banking, or asset management industry, with a focus on private debt and alternative assets.
Leadership and CommunicationStrong leadership and excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
Investment SystemsExperience with investment systems and tools, including Excel, Bloomberg, Aladdin, and eFront.
EducationFour-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related technical field.
