Aviation Safety Systems Engineer

We are in search of a dedicated Aviation System Safety Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the system safety evaluation process and producing the necessary analyses to support our OEM clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate and liaise with OEM clients to deliver system safety expertise and documentation for aviation systems and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
- Conduct qualitative assessments, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis, and common cause evaluations as needed to facilitate OEM certification requirements.
- Engage with Hardware, Software, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) teams to ensure that suitable design assurance levels are applied.
- Coordinate with internal teams to convey safety assessment needs effectively.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong academic performance (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher).
- Proven knowledge and training in basic circuit principles (Digital, FPGA, Analog, and/or RF).
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and quality; must be a team player with a positive attitude.
Desired Qualifications
- Outstanding academic record (cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher).
- Experience in the aviation sector.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations relevant to avionics and flight control certification, particularly those related to system safety.
- Knowledge of AC 23/ and SAE ARPs 4761 and 4754.
- Possession of a pilot's license is a plus.
