Position Overview:

As a Lead Accounting Specialist at Atrium Staffing, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations, managing essential accounting activities and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

The Senior Financial Accountant will be tasked with maintaining precise financial records, preparing and evaluating financial statements, and supporting the overall fiscal integrity of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:
Prepare and assess monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring precision and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Budget Management:
Assist in the formulation and oversight of annual budgets, providing insightful variance analysis and recommendations to upper management.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely handling of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial documentation.

Audit Coordination:
Facilitate annual audits, collaborating with external auditors and supplying necessary documentation and schedules.

Grants and Fund Oversight:
Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, and compliance obligations, ensuring accurate reporting to funding entities.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed on accounting regulations and ensure the organization's compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and internal policies.

Process Enhancement:
Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant accounting experience
Public accounting or CPA designation is a significant advantage.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
