Position Summary
The Product Development Engineer is responsible for designing and enhancing products, focusing on innovation and cost efficiency while collaborating with sales and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of product development from conceptual design to production launch.
- Develop, document, and manage project plans, ensuring alignment with design concepts and production timelines.
- Lead new product development initiatives, managing schedules, budgets, tooling, and compliance with agency standards.
- Utilize solid modeling techniques to ensure design integrity and functionality.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of products, including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, material strength, and machine design elements.
- Plan and allocate budgets for product development projects from inception to initial production.
- Review engineering drawings for accuracy, dimensional tolerances, and completeness.
- Participate in product testing and validation at national laboratories to secure necessary approvals for new and revised designs.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting any hazardous conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Master's Degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design or a related field.
- Experience with sprinkler system and plumbing standards is preferred.
