Your Role

Koch Engineered Solutions LLC is seeking a dedicated Field Production Engineer who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This position involves extensive travel, approximately 95%, as an on-site Field Production Engineer supporting the construction of utility-scale solar PV plants ranging from 10-300MW. This role includes per diem and regular home trips.

You will be an integral part of our Project Controls and Scheduling team, which operates within the Project and Construction Management organization, providing support for all Koch Project and Services solutions.

The selected candidate can reside anywhere but must be available to travel to project sites as required. Please note that this position does not qualify for VISA Sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project data utilizing software tools such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control of project data.
  • Generate daily reports on project metrics and work completion.
  • Assist in establishing progress tracking tools.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs based on engineering documentation.
  • Monitor labor productivity and installation rates for both self-performed and subcontracted scopes of work.
  • Provide training to field staff on Earned Value Management, productivity, and progress tracking.
  • Support project teams in tracking progress for subcontracted and self-performed scopes of work.
  • Analyze various construction installation processes to identify optimization opportunities (e.g., Time Studies, Lean Walks).
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Prior experience in construction, project controls, estimating, scheduling, or project management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
  • A valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the renewable energy or construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
  • Field Engineering/Construction experience (e.g., Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Engineer).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI or Tableau).

For this role, the anticipated salary range is $90k - $120k annually, with eligibility for variable pay, which may be issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
