About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent Assistant to join our team at Strata Clean Energy. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in the execution of our utility-scale solar and battery development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide leadership for safety and environmental programs
  • Monitor job cost, quality reporting, forecasting, and productivity
  • Coordinate all manpower, materials, and equipment for the scope
  • Complete field administration: timesheets, quantity reports, purchases, and job diaries
  • Organize and coordinate all subcontractor activities (if applicable)
  • Implement and monitor the construction plan; including scheduling and logistics
  • Supervise, direct, and mentor field personnel (15+ employees)
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field (asset)
  • A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage high stress and tension situations under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel in particular)
  • Excellent knowledge of construction safety and best practices
  • An eagerness to learn and an ability to innovate new and improved operating procedures in this fast-paced industry
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), additional as required
  • Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40-50 hours per week and night shifts as required
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
  • Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job
