Job Summary:

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring junior electrical engineers and engineers in training, as well as CAD designers. You will create work schedules to achieve on-time submission of all engineering deliverables for RFPs and existing projects in the design and construction phase. You will also be responsible for creating electrical engineering calculation processes for string sizing, DC and MV cable calculations, studies, inverter sizing, and inverter quantities for projects. Additionally, you will develop preliminary design concepts based on engineering principles for solar PV and BESS system design for RFPs. You will provide necessary support and documentation to the Estimating, Business Development & Proposal team. You will also be responsible for developing/contributing detailed design concepts for solar PV system design for awarded projects. You will work with the Estimating, Procurement, Project Management & Construction team to provide ongoing support with design concepts and design optimization of the solar PV systems. You will also work with CAD designers to guide them through well-designed solar PV site layouts, single-line diagrams, and other design drawings and details. You will develop and maintain the database for different equipment involved in solar PV design and improve it over time. You will contribute to construction details and Bill of Material for various construction work packages within solar PV projects. You will develop/contribute to the design process from the conceptual level to the constructible level for multiple solar PV projects. You will review Utility interconnection documents like Facility studies, interconnection agreements, or Power Purchase Agreements. You will develop the Pvsyst energy generation models for proposals as well as awarded projects. You will observe, record, and calculate contractual Utility PV Performance Testing & Commissioning obligations. You will apply innovative engineering principles for cost optimization of utility-scale solar PV systems, develop design matrices, and maintain them for future reference. You will provide support to the Procurement team and Project Engineers regarding any engineering-related issues or questions for awarded projects. You will attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety. You will use company-suggested means and methods for effective and fast communication with internal and external teams.

Requirements:

BS in Electrical Engineering or any other related engineering stream. 2-4 years of experience (II) 4-6 years of experience (III) with Electrical Engineering and/or work related to Solar PV or any other Renewable Energy Construction projects. Professional experience with Utility PV Engineering Contract deliverables in EPC setting. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Office. Electrical engineering simulation software experience a plus. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate is an individual who is a team player, solution-minded, and always looking for ways to improve processes, efficiency, and communication.

Electrical Engineer I - $100K-$110K, Electrical Engineer II - $110K-$120K, Electrical Engineer III $120K-$130K
