As a Before and After School Program Lead Teacher, you will provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children to prepare for their school day and unwind from it. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing classroom activities that promote learning and socialization.

", "ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS": "
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with the YMCA's curriculum and goals
  • Organize and participate in games and activities that promote physical and emotional development
  • Provide weekly lesson plans to parents and communicate with them about their child's progress
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, arrival, and departure times
  • Supervise children at all times and ensure their safety and well-being
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss individual child progress and goals
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

$20.54 per hour, non-exempt, part-time (up to 25 hours/week)

", "QUALIFICATIONS": "

An Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college in a youth development related field, or current enrollment in degree program required. Six months to one year youth development related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

", "CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION": "
  • Blood Borne Pathogen training
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification required within the first 60 days
  • First Aid Certification required within the first 60 days
  • AED-Oxygen Certification required within the first 60 days
  • State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT)
