Critical Care Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a critical care nurse, you will provide direct patient care, lead clinical teams, and assume relief charge duties when designated.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, working within the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Lead clinical teams, promoting a positive work environment and quality patient care.
- Assume relief charge duties, ensuring seamless patient care and team management.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations.
- Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights, and document clinical findings.
- Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
- Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
- Essential:
- Program Graduate
- RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
- Nonessential:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nationally Certified in area of specialty
This role requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
This position involves working with biohazardous materials, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
This role is part of the Registered Nurse department.
