We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico Hospitals. Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Assume relief charge duties when designated, providing clinical leadership and guidance to other staff members.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, individualized care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure by reciprocal agreement.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months of hire.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
