Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of New York, Inc. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in supervising accounts receivable clerks and managing accounting and business process transaction activities.
Job Summary:
- The Accounting Manager will be responsible for directing the work of and supervising employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and other related issues.
- The incumbent will also coordinate accounting and business process transaction activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.
- This role involves training and developing accounts receivable clerks, reviewing their work for accuracy, and developing, processing, and/or validating accounting and business transactional activities as assigned or required.
- The successful candidate will reconcile sub-ledgers to General Ledger, manage lockbox cash application, live checks, resolve lockbox exception items, unprocessed lock box checks, electronic payments, and manage cash exception item resolution and accurate and timely application of all cash receipts.
- The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for initiating any required AR adjustments, managing the Collections process, Credit requests, and other associated responsibilities.
- This position requires ensuring that internal control procedures are adhered to, maintaining well-organized files containing applicable office records relating to accounting and business transactions, and responding to service requests or requirements in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
- The ideal candidate will exercise judgment in resolving customer issues, review completeness of documents received from operations and/or other departments, as required, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 5 years related accounting experience OR a BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business and 3 years related accounting experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- One year supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
