About the Emergency Services:
- The Emergency Department at Montrose Memorial Hospital operates as a Level III Trauma Center, staffed around the clock by Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and Registered Nurses who hold certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Care.
About the Role:
- This position provides indirect patient support within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include addressing the communication needs of patients and their families, as well as collaborating with departmental and medical staff. The role involves executing directives from physicians and nursing personnel.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in an acute hospital environment or ambulance service.
- Training & Experience: BCLS certification preferred. Current EMT certification is advantageous. Completion of a basic arrhythmia course is also preferred.
- Knowledge Requirements: Familiarity with medical terminology and completion of TNCC training within the first year of employment.
