Position Overview
The Tasting Room Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the Tasting Room and leading the front-of-house team. This position entails managing daily activities, coordinating event programming throughout the year, and ensuring the excellence of our food and beverage services while maintaining high hospitality standards.
- Part-Time Position
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- On-site role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to enhance and sustain the Tasting Room and its offerings.
- Supervise front-of-house staff regarding scheduling, time management, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Manage the reservation system and handle all reservation inquiries.
- Oversee inventory management and procurement for Tasting Room supplies.
- Assist culinary and beverage teams with menu adjustments and updates.
- Plan and execute private and pop-up events, ensuring smooth logistics and execution.
- Maintain budgets in line with Tasting Room expenditures.
- Work with the operations team to keep menus and POS systems current.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Tasting Room and storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and production teams to foster cohesive service.
- Address guest concerns or complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of fermented beverages and a passion for customer service.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to train and mentor staff effectively.
- Professional demeanor in interactions with guests and team members.
- Availability to work during peak hours, including weekends.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
- Interest in breweries and fermentation is advantageous.
- Food Safety, TIPS, and/or ServeSafe certification preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
