Position Overview

The Tasting Room Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the Tasting Room and leading the front-of-house team. This position entails managing daily activities, coordinating event programming throughout the year, and ensuring the excellence of our food and beverage services while maintaining high hospitality standards.

  • Part-Time Position
  • Approximately 30 hours per week
  • On-site role


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to enhance and sustain the Tasting Room and its offerings.
  • Supervise front-of-house staff regarding scheduling, time management, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage the reservation system and handle all reservation inquiries.
  • Oversee inventory management and procurement for Tasting Room supplies.
  • Assist culinary and beverage teams with menu adjustments and updates.
  • Plan and execute private and pop-up events, ensuring smooth logistics and execution.
  • Maintain budgets in line with Tasting Room expenditures.
  • Work with the operations team to keep menus and POS systems current.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Tasting Room and storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and production teams to foster cohesive service.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.


Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of fermented beverages and a passion for customer service.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to train and mentor staff effectively.
  • Professional demeanor in interactions with guests and team members.
  • Availability to work during peak hours, including weekends.
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
  • Interest in breweries and fermentation is advantageous.
  • Food Safety, TIPS, and/or ServeSafe certification preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
