Key Responsibilities
- Advising and Student Support (40%): Deliver tailored advising services to students, guiding them towards appropriate academic resources and support systems.
- Undergraduate Program Administration (20%): Manage administrative tasks related to undergraduate programs, ensuring smooth operations within the advising center.
- Programming and Outreach (20%): Develop and implement seminars, workshops, and training sessions aimed at enhancing the undergraduate experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in counseling and advising students in a higher education environment, including academic planning and course selection.
- Ability to assess academic transcripts and accurately compute grades and academic standings.
- Familiarity with university policies regarding major requirements and general education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with faculty, staff, and students.
- Proficient in writing, editing, and proofreading for various academic documents.
