Job Summary:

The Financial Operations Specialist will act as the Assistant Director of Financial Management for the Division of Investment, responsible for establishing and maintaining the mission and near-term objectives for the Division from a financial operational perspective. This includes managing the day-to-day financial operations of several Pension Funds and Trust Funds, working directly with vendors to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and creating and maintaining reporting/metrics to ensure transparency on financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with multiple financial vendors and accounting staff to ensure smooth financial operations

Manage Accounting and Pension Fund Performance, ensuring all deliverables are met

Solve Accounting and Performance issues with Custodian Banks, ensuring quality assurance on internal and external accounting processes

Monitor and be aware of any changes to GASB requirements, drafting up procedural changes required to ensure the funds meets all GASB requirements and all ACFR requirements

Requirements:
