Job Overview: Inside Sales Specialist
The Inside Sales Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving Mazzella Companies' mission to be recognized as the Brand of Choice. This position is centered around customer advocacy, managing incoming inquiries, initiating outbound communications, and fostering proactive customer engagement. The specialist collaborates closely with manufacturing and various departments to ensure operational excellence and streamline the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement
- Elevate customer interactions to cultivate trust and satisfaction.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to surpass expectations and enhance customer loyalty.
- Address customer requests for quotes, order inquiries, adjustments, returns, and cancellations promptly.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships for ongoing support.
- Keep precise customer records in the CRM system to align with sales goals.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Collect market insights to generate reports that aid in effective gross margin management.
- Engage with a diverse clientele in an inclusive manner.
- Represent Mazzella Companies with professionalism.
Results Orientation
- Leverage the ERP system for managing quotes, orders, and customer inquiries.
- Work alongside management to identify and pursue significant business opportunities.
- Strive to maximize sales profitability and exceed sales targets.

- Identify, propose, and finalize web service requests.
- Prioritize customer feedback with urgency.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with outside sales, purchasing, and operations to expedite order fulfillment.
- Engage in special product initiatives and account-specific projects.
- Work with purchasing to ensure order fulfillment.
- Share relevant customer account information with stakeholders.
- Provide new customer leads to the sales team.
- Stay informed about new product solutions to uncover potential opportunities.
Follow-up and Sales Strategy
- Conduct follow-ups on quotes and customer inquiries.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet customer needs.
- Perform post-sale follow-ups to assess customer satisfaction.
- Implement effective sales strategies and promote company offerings.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Technical Skills and Attention to Detail
- Exhibit a solid understanding of products and customer applications.
- Collaborate with outside sales and utilize software tools for efficient operations.
- Maintain a focus on accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
Education
A high school diploma or GED is required. Additional qualifications such as a college degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field are preferred.
Experience and Skills
A minimum of three to five years in customer service, account management, or industrial sales is essential. Strong communication, customer service, and PC literacy skills are critical.

- Strong analytical and planning abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Familiarity with formal sales processes.
