Job Overview

Position: Senior Technology Public Relations Account Executive

300Brand Inc is in search of a seasoned account executive to join our technology public relations and content marketing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in enterprise technology, with a preference for experience in the government sector. As a leading agency in public relations and marketing communications within the government IT space, we assist our clients in articulating their narratives, distinguishing themselves from competitors, and enhancing outcomes for government entities and the nation.

Public Relations Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine written materials (e.g., press releases, media pitches, bylines, etc.)
  • Contribute to the formulation of strategies and execute public relations initiatives
  • Facilitate and coordinate media interviews through proactive and reactive outreach, understanding the needs of publications and editors
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of IT-related legislation and industry trends, along with client solutions and priorities
  • Manage client program objectives and service level agreements; provide highly responsive service and cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure proactive, clear, and consistent communication with clients
  • Oversee account administration tasks as needed (e.g., creating timelines, tracking deadlines, preparing meeting agendas/recaps, developing client reports, etc.)
Content Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all facets of digital content marketing initiatives, including crafting copy for websites, marketing campaigns, and social media, while managing deliverables from inception to completion
  • Coordinate project timelines and collaborate on tasks with other internal teams (research, creative, content)
  • Evaluate progress against objectives; possess the ability to adjust strategies as necessary and guide marketing program teams with a strong grasp of best practices
General Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of 300Brand's range of services
  • Contribute innovative ideas to program development and new business proposals
  • Conduct research on clients' businesses and the public sector IT industry to stay informed
  • Ensure proactive, clear, and consistent communication with internal colleagues to meet project deadlines
  • Guide and mentor junior team members on projects as necessary
  • Collaborate across internal teams, including creative, digital services, research, and content
  • Deliver highly responsive service and build positive relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Participate in office staff meetings and required training sessions
  • Report any issues regarding the implementation of 300Brand policies or job functions to management
Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years of experience in public relations or marketing, preferably within the technology sector; government experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of executing PR campaigns and achieving results
  • Exceptional writing and editing capabilities
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, comprehend, and articulate the implications of public policy issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Creative thinking and idea generation
  • Budget management skills
  • Ability to supervise Account Coordinators and Interns
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS)
