Position Overview

Under the guidance of Loan Servicing management, the Loan Processing Specialist I is responsible for executing various Loan Servicing tasks. This role involves meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of account information from the moment work is received until it is resolved and closed. The position requires effective coordination of information across multiple operational areas, which may involve communication with customers or third parties. The candidate will exercise sound judgment within established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, distribute, research, review, monitor, reconcile, and remit documents pertinent to Loan Servicing tasks, including the remittance of optional insurance and debt protection products for consumer and mortgage loans.
  • Deliver timely support to customers, servicing personnel, and third parties by addressing verbal and written inquiries through thorough account and loan file reviews. Maintain a high standard of customer service by adhering to our Brand principles (clear, capable, responsive, attitude) and providing accurate information.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures to meet Bank, audit, regulatory, and Investor standards.
  • Gather and report customer feedback and trends related to various product activities.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to refine and enhance internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identifying any gaps in policy or procedure.
  • Complete additional duties and special project assignments as required.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience: Less than 2 years of general office, banking, or related experience is required; 2-4 years of Banking Operations/Servicing experience is preferred.
