Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Risk Control Specialist to support our growing Casualty business. The successful candidate will evaluate complex technical risks, create resources to address emerging issues, and support the underwriting process through individual risk assessments and technical research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate complex technical risks and exposures that could impact our book of business
  • Create content and resources to address emerging and changing issues
  • Support the underwriting process through individual risk assessments and technical research
  • Lead customer visits to improve our knowledge of the risk
  • Participate in customer and broker meetings to strengthen our relationships and deliver our value proposition
  • Support other lines of business as needed

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, risk management, and/or loss control disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of exposures and controls in casualty lines of business with a strong technical background in one or more industries
  • High aptitude for technical writing and verbal communication, including presentation experience
  • Strong desire to build something that adds long-term value to a forever business
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, dynamic environment with limited direction
  • Commitment to diligence, creativity, and collaboration with all levels and disciplines
  • Ability to multi-task and make quick decisions while maintaining integrity and quality standards
  • Ability to work within an office environment and remotely depending on business needs
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, largely self-directed, across North America
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Science, Safety, or equivalent field desirable
