- Execute tasks in alignment with the Manufacturing Work System and maintenance best practices.
- Repair, maintain, and install electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
- Identify, diagnose, and rectify electrical and instrumentation malfunctions.
- Conduct inspections and tests on electrical and instrumentation equipment as necessary.
- Disassemble malfunctioning equipment, troubleshoot, and test mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
- Operate programmable controllers and configure them for troubleshooting as required.
- Assist in planning layouts, running conduit, wiring, and tubing for new installations.
- Support the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Utilize all skills and abilities to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Train apprentices as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
- Adhere to all electrical/NFPA70e safety protocols.
- Participate in specialized training as required by vendors.
- Complete necessary instrumentation-related training.
- Comply with the company’s respirator policy.
- Regularly lift weights between 50-70 lbs.
- Engage in considerable bending, stooping, reaching, turning, and twisting.
- Climb and work at heights, including elevated bridge cranes and overhead lighting.
- Utilize radiation-type measurement devices.
- Operate and use conduit, tubing benders, threaders, and hand tools.
- Work with voltages up to and including 13,800 volts.
- Read blueprints and schematic diagrams effectively.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and parts procurement.
- Configure and service process controls.
- Work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
- Maintain a telephone and reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Be available for call-ins, shift work, overtime, and holiday assignments as needed.
- Stay current with industry advancements through ongoing education and skill development.
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications and possess typing skills.
- Perform duties in a manner that aligns with team member expectations.
- Completion of a State Indentured E/I Apprenticeship Program or equivalent.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Flexibility and physical capability consistent with job responsibilities.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- No allergies to chemicals or materials typically found in a mill environment.

Compensation:
- E&I Journeyman - $39.69
- E&I Journeyman + 1 - $40.92
- E&I Journeyman + 2 - $41.85
- E&I Journeyman + 3 - $43.18
Work Schedule:
E&I Journeyman currently participate in a trial work schedule of 4-10 hour days, with crews divided into three groups, ensuring equitable distribution of days off.
